Sometime's we're too engrossed in our own problem's to notice other's and their problem's. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone took the time to stop thinking about themselves for once and reach out to help another. Now I know a lot of times that's kind of hard to do when your world could be potentially falling apart right in front of you. But what if you decided to throw those problems away for just one second? In that one second you could make someone elses life a whole lot better. Yeah that probably sounds a bit exaggerated, but it's possible, any little thing you say or do can either have a positive or negative affect on someone. Whether it be a random act of kindness like helping someone carry their groceries or picking up something someone dropped if you're close by, it's the thought that counts. Now where am I going with this you say? Well, think back to a time when you were having a really crappy day. Was there one little thing, anything, even if it was a random person smiling at you, that made you feel at least an itsy bitsy teeny bit better? I know it has happened to me before, but of course everyone is different. If not, then in those times where you feel like you 'hate the world and everything in it' try thinking of one small little moment, anything, that either made or makes you happy. Now i'll say this right now, i'm not trying to be a hypocrite or anything, because of course there have been plenty of times where i've just felt like giving up, but i've realized that there is no point in continuing to wallow about in misery when none of those upsetting things matter. So now, referring to the quote above "Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, loves something, and has lost something." I end with this; Everyone has their bad days, just like you, everyone is hurting inside, just like you, everyone has lost something they cared about, just like you. So when you see someone who is 'wallowing in their misery.' don't complain or say "Oh here they go again with their crap." But simply think about how you have had those days too and maybe all they need is someone or something to help lift them up again. Even if maybe they're just an attention grabbing (not nice word) maybe what they need is for someone to help get them out of that. A lot of times, those are the people who are messed up most and feel that's the only way to deal with their problems.
