The reality of falling

Sometime's we're too engrossed in our own problem's to notice other's and their problem's. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone took the time to stop thinking about themselves for once and reach out to help another. Now I know a lot of times that's kind of hard to do when your world could be potentially falling apart right in front of you. But what if you decided to throw those problems away for just one second? In that one second you could make someone elses life a whole lot better. Yeah that probably sounds a bit exaggerated, but it's possible, any little thing you say or do can either have a positive or negative affect on someone. Whether it be a random act of kindness like helping someone carry their groceries or picking up something someone dropped if you're close by, it's the thought that counts. Now where am I going with this you say? Well, think back to a time when you were having a really crappy day. Was there one little thing, anything, even if it was a random person smiling at you, that made you feel at least an itsy bitsy teeny bit better? I know it has happened to me before, but of course everyone is different. If not, then in those times where you feel like you 'hate the world and everything in it' try thinking of one small little moment, anything, that either made or makes you happy. Now i'll say this right now, i'm not trying to be a hypocrite or anything, because of course there have been plenty of times where i've just felt like giving up, but i've realized that there is no point in continuing to wallow about in misery when none of those upsetting things matter. So now, referring to the quote above "Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, loves something, and has lost something." I end with this; Everyone has their bad days, just like you, everyone is hurting inside, just like you, everyone has lost something they cared about, just like you. So when you see someone who is 'wallowing in their misery.' don't complain or say "Oh here they go again with their crap." But simply think about how you have had those days too and maybe all they need is someone or something to help lift them up again. Even if maybe they're just an attention grabbing (not nice word) maybe what they need is for someone to help get them out of that. A lot of times, those are the people who are messed up most and feel that's the only way to deal with their problems.

Let's Practice Poetry

Okay, so I originally created this to share my love of photography, but recently i've been going through some stuff and began writing poetry as a way to express my feelings. So I decided to share it and receive some feedback. Now i'm only an amateur (obviously) so negative and positive criticism is welcomed. I'll probably be posting one a day or a few a week, but either way i'll be posting, whether it photo's, poetry, or just anything else that pops into my head. But I would like to be able to interact with the readers(whenever I get some) so i'll also be discussing things that can actually be talked about. For now i'm going to start off with my poems. Now basically I just write whatever I am feeling or thinking at the moment, it is nowhere near perfect, never intended to be. But like I said, opinions are welcomed, so have a nice day and a great winter vacation. :)

Heal
Her smile is fake.
Her tears are real.
Her pillow is wet,
And her wounds are not yet healed.
Lift her soul, carry her burden.
Dig her out of this hole,
Be there to console.
Don’t leave her alone, she will crumble.
Her world will fall apart.
Don’t sit there and watch the walls tumble.

She holds it in, she breathes in deeply.
These secrets kill, they taunt, mess with the head.
A danger to herself and all around, she surrounds herself with darkness,
Knowing living in the darkness is wrong she searches for the light.
‘I can’t let this darkness consume me.’ She says.
I must be stronger.
Must fight till the death.

Though she’s strong she thinks she’s weak.
Her heartbeat falters and her tears stream.

This poem is actually one poem combined with parts from other poems I wrote. My friend plays the guitar and I figured since all of the poems had to do with the same thing this would make a good song. So I asked him if he could work with me to turn it into one. We're not quite done yet but this is what I have so far.
